Amla - The Indian Super Food For All

Ever wondered if there is an ultimate food which could help you stay healthy all season? While most fruits and vegetables are known to help build your immune system, there is none like the Indian gooseberry, also known as amla.

From curing sore throat to treating anaemia, amla is considered to be a wonder berry in Ayurveda. Its regular consumption in various forms is recommended.

natural amla candy

It only has 60 calories per 100 grammes per serving and is a good source of carbs and nutritional fibre. It contains minerals including salt, potassium, carotene, calcium, copper, zinc, phosphorus, manganese, magnesium, and iron as well as vitamins like vitamin A, pyridoxine, and riboflavin.

Amla's antioxidants and Vitamin C support a healthy immune system, increase metabolism, and guard against bacterial and viral illnesses like the common cold and cough. Although amla juice can be a little unpleasant, it has several health benefits. It can also be eaten as an amla chatpata candy made from a combination of amla, jaggery, chat masala and rock salt. You can have two to three sweets straight after meals.

Amla, a fruit rich in fibre, promotes regular bowel movements by keeping the digestive system clean. Constipation and other frequent digestive problems are avoided by doing this. Amla can be used to manage indigestion and acid reflux as well. A glass of warm water and a half teaspoon of amla powder can provide some comfort.

Amla, which is a rich source of chromium, improves the body's sensitivity to insulin by facilitating the body's response to it. It can be included in one's diet and aids with blood sugar regulation. It does not, however, serve as a substitute for typical diabetes medicine.

Both the raw and juice forms of amla are edible. The use of dried amla powder is also efficient. Amla is an essential winter fruit that can be used in chutneys, pickles, and other dishes. With just one element, the entire nutritional content of the food consumed can be altered. Antioxidants and calcium are both abundant in it.

Sometimes it is really hard to make kids eat raw amla because of its extreme sourness. In that case, you can buy natural amla candy which your kid will love for sure. It is not that sour and very tasty to eat. They will love that sure! So add amla to your daily routine and see the magic!
